Design the encounter
Choose authored perspective, living fiction, or exact equal sharing. Write manually or ask the AI assistant to develop a draft. For AI, confirm source permission, request an estimate, approve its maximum cost, read the contribution, review which fields will change, and apply only reviewed text. You can undo that replacement before making further edits or leaving the step. Authored modes need two to four complete outcomes.

Set boundaries and allocation

How much
will you pay?
One AI credit equals $0.01 USD. Buy 1,000 credits for $10, 2,500 for $25, or 5,000 for $50 through secure card checkout, plus applicable tax shown there. The balance works in Encounter AI and Curriculum AI. If provider tokens cost $1, your usage costs $5. Review the maximum before each request; only confirmed usable output is charged. Set a total spending cap in Billing or use the $50 default. Paid work pauses before exceeding the cap or the next $50 approval checkpoint, even with a higher cap. Past spending never resets. Automatic reload is optional and must be shown as available in Billing before you can authorize it. Reader demo credits have no cash value and do not affect the paid AI balance.

from this release?
A useful assistant has clear responsibilities. These boundaries help you decide whether this solution fits the task in front of you.
- AI drafting and critique use the supplied source only. They do not independently verify facts, rights, or research. You review and approve the final text.
- The reader area is private to each signed-in account. Public reader distribution and cross-account publishing are not included.
- Contract checks do not prove rights ownership, factual accuracy, or semantic consistency.
Your material remains your responsibility. Use sources, writing samples, and assets you are entitled to use. Keep professional review matched to the significance of the work.

Ask about your projectCan I start with an example?
Yes. A new workspace includes three original examples: a fictional harbor, two perspectives on a town square, and exact equal sharing. Reader permission starts off.
Will AI change or publish my work automatically?
No. The assistant saves a proposal or review. You read it and confirm the fields to replace in the current draft. Undo is available until you edit the applied draft or leave that step. Publication requires a separate approval. The external manuscript is not changed.
What happens at $50?
The default total cap is $50 across both studios, including reservations. A request that could exceed the cap or current $50 checkpoint pauses before reaching the provider. Choose a custom cap in Billing and approve each next $50 checkpoint when due. Prior spending remains counted.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. Open Billing to buy a prepaid credit pack through Stripe Checkout. Credits appear after payment confirmation. Automatic saved-card reload is offered only when available and requires your separate consent. Card setup does not itself charge you.
What happens to failed AI requests?
A confirmed failure or unusable result is free. An unconfirmed result stays reserved for up to 24 hours, then releases without retrying. Check the saved request before generating again.
What happens if I repeat a request?
An identical draft-creation retry reuses the saved draft. A completed invitation produces one receipt and one demo debit, even when the same delivery is retried.
Can I withdraw an encounter?
Yes. Withdraw the publication or pause its source. New use stops and pending invitations become invalid. Completed receipts retain the source and result captured at the time.
Where is my earlier standalone workspace?
The original private Encounter site retains its records. The publishers.studio workspace uses this site’s sign-in and its own private records; there is no automatic transfer between the two sites.
